i had time to lay around on the floor and play with hot wheels.
(unfortunately i'm thirty seven instead of seven)
i know....BALANCE, right?
just alot going on at the garrett house this week and not enough time to do it.
tomorrow is another day...friday, to be exact!
jackson was invited to a bowling birthday party on saturday..."his girlfriend's" birthday party and the only bowling he had ever experienced was with Wii
i prepared him for the biggest difference, like how an actual bowling ball weighs ALOT more than the Wii remote...even the lighter ones
i really thought that he wouldn't like it. but i was wrong. HE LOVED IT (although not as much as the video games, but that's just him)
there were only a couple of kids that actually had some speed traveling down the lanes, most of them traveled at the speed of...walking...slowly...very slowly
but none the less they made it and scored!
pizza was served, cake and presents and then the adults took over!
jeff, definitely has the bowling stance...unlike me, i just get up there and wing it!

um...ok.
most of us went out to eat mexican later that night...too bad i didn't take my camera for that! a really big red sombrero was involved among other things...
don't judge me.
i know, i know...i've been complaining about the non-stop talk of clones, darth vader and light savers (sabers...whatever) but i'm a good momma and all
we kept it a secret, which is totally worth it
after he found out which movie we were going to watch...i handed him a "Darth Vader Chocolate Shake"

he couldn't take his eyes off the tv...but toward the end he was up and fighting!

here's just a peek of the cake (i was too lazy to change to a wider lens...sorry)
basically i used a loaf pan and two 8" circle pans...put them all together to form a 100, decorated with rows of Mike and Ike candies and Lifesavers!
i'm really proud of myself for actually finishing another scrapbook project...a mini book at that! for some reason those are difficult for me, although with the number of photos i take at one time you would think i would have a hundred!
i really hope i can keep it up considering that i have several more "undone" and just lying around...but who's counting?
this is a 8x8 acrylic album which i have grown to NOT love...but for me, getting around that means making the pages something other than 8x8
most everything used here was from Elsie, an older line but a good one and way to perfect for these photos!
not sure which mini will be next...but stick around!
let me just say that over the past couple of weeks we live and breathe Star Wars at our house...and by "we", i really mean that.

last night when it was time to read for his homework...he went and got a Star Wars book! i told him to go read to his daddy.
i know you're probably thinking he should have had a brother...too late now, trust me!
