come sit awhile

less is more...

so yesterday at "work"...much better, a tad bit less snot and crying that lasted just under an hour

today....the angels sang and the clouds opened up and there were no tears or any of that other 'stuff' that follows...need i mention it again?

it was a good day.

my body and brain for the most part are getting on a schedule and adjusting quite well...now i just need to get up 30 minutes earlier and introduce myself to the treadmill once again...i've been missed.

pray for me.

spreaking of prayer...sunday at church we began a new series titled "awaken".  we were given our very own prayer "journal" to keep up with and be accountable to and challenge ourselves

"96 to 96"

in other words, praying for more than 96 seconds and working towards 96 minutes.

i know you're thinking....huh....what?   96 minutes?

i'm sure it can be done, however i personally would not know.  therefore this will be my challenge...and i'm starting slow but i know there is plenty to say

so pray for me, even if it's 3 seconds!

now.  let's talk olympics.  have you been watching?  i try to catch most of it...especially the swimming!  jackson has really enjoyed all the speedos which he calls underwear and seeing how the big guys do it!  he said there was no way he would ever dive from that high up...ever.  which is not terribly shocking seeing that when he jumps from the fouth step he thinks he has "done something".   so most likely he will be doing the breaststroke or butterfly in 2028.  

and would someone please tell michael phelps to pull his "underwear" up?

or gain some weight

no need to worry, i'm just getting into the swing of things.

friday night was open house for the "preschool"...to me aka "4k" and the kiddos that i will be working with most of the time!  of course ms. marina had to out-do herself with her door and welcome everyone to 4k in style!

i'm glad it was just a door and nothing else because it took us FOREVER to cover this thing....FOREVER! 

and just so you know (all you scrappers out there reading) who would have known that my previous (previous because i no longer can find the time) scrapbooking abilities would have contributed to my now recent work...

the die cut machine. 

and heather, just so you know i wanted to ink the edges of every single letter but i must keep reminding myself that

IT IS 4K.

moving on to yesterday (did that make sense?)

the kids came and for the most part everything went very well until the little guys came to "after care", realized they were there and would be participating in nap time and it was all down hill from there

crying....uncontrollable...snot....red dirty faces (they were eating lunch)....crying for their mommys and daddys...more snot...

ugh.

it was like a chain reaction.

one little guy cried forever.  forever.  and ever.

at that very moment (more like hour and a half....seriously) i was never more thankful to have stayed at home with my sweet baby for almost 7 years!   i'm not saying that every little momma out there should do what i did but

i'm just sayin...

so fast forward a bit to today...same kids....crying...snot....same little guy began kicking the walls and pitchin a fit and my sympathy started to fade a bit

and then he fell asleep. 

finally.

of course i'm wondering just how long will this last?

regardless, it's been fun!

jackson is doing well, he loves his teacher and his friends and i'm so thankful for that!  i accepted the "room mom" roll once again and also enlisted the help of other moms which i know will work out perfect!  thank you girls!

started school this morning. 

started work this morning.  5:45am...now i haven't done that since the day after christmas!

jackson is asleep on the couch...and we have swimming lessons tonight. 

now, what to make for dinner??

not sure if that title refers to posts...pictures...posts with pictures...or pictures of jackson, you be the judge!

today was a very productive day and i love that!  i got up this morning and exercised...30 minutes on the treadmill and then weights and then the forbidden crunches...blech, i hate those.   but i did it all and had so much energy today it's not even funny!   

i know this stuff 'exercise = energy = clothes that fit'...why can't i keep it up?

that is to be determined.

it really help now that i have this little guy

so i'm a little behind the times in the electronics department...don't judge me.   it's little but it holds a ton of music, way more songs than i could ever even know.   and let's just say that as of now my playlist covers a wide variety...rick springfield, chris daughtry, the beastie boys (hate me), darius rucker (LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM), leona lewis, john mayer and some country

remember i said variety.

now if anyone knows how to remove a song from there i would glad appreciate some instruction, i've had some regrets.

ok.  moving right along...

these are definitely nothing to brag about...i was just happy to have my battery charged and when i asked he willingly accepted

well, sort of

i was asking him about the possibility of a new girl friend when he starts back to school...

 

and that's what he thinks about that...no really, he had an itch...the shutter clicks and then he proceeds to tell me "you better not put that one on your blog"

i don't know which is worse...him saying that or knowing that i'm going to do it anyway?

and then there is usually a good one after all...

just look at that smirk!

thursday things...

got up this morning and go busy!  i was once a morning person...not so much these days!  i've totally fell of the exercise wagon which i feel really bad about...but with that said, it's a big reason why i sleep in. 

not that there's anything wrong with that because there is not...i just feel like it's a waste of time. 

so.  from here on out (??) i'm going to set that alarm and get my butt up and do something.  or else it will be really awful when school starts...which is just over a week away!   did you hear me?   just over a week away.....aaaccckkkk!

makes me shiver.

as you probably already know i'm having a HUGE....BIG....GIVEAWAY (see previous post) and my stat counter has gone through the roof!  so be sure to leave a comment over there, you won't be disappointed.  unless you don't win, but that's up to you because you could always buy something, even if it's for yourself!

we did this, this morning.  and i swear (yes, swear) that LEGO's will certainly be the death of me!   if you have a boy...you know what i'm talking about.  it doesn't help that i'm a little ocd about this stuff...like in a perfect world i would have each color divided out and in ziplock bags so that it would be easy to locate these oh so small pieces and follow the directions accordingly...that was a horrible run on sentence, just so you know i know.   but then there's jackson who doesn't really care what color the piece is just as long as the outcome is the same....

and then the mess.   ugh.

swimming lessons actually ended today BUT mrs. d asked if we wanted to come another two weeks and i said OF COURSE!   jackson has officially moved to level 2 after Lord knows how long...he is now SWIMMING and doing it like perfection!  i'm so proud of this little guy and i think he's pretty proud of himself too!

and i haven't blogged in almost a week! 

so sorry for the inconvience because i hate to go to a blog and see the same thing that i've already read...but that's life and it was mine this week.

bubbles

this was one of the left over "bubble makers" from the kindergarten field day.  luckily we got to come home with the leftovers...

it's really a neat little contraption...coke can with a small hole cut in the back (for the straw), Joy dishwashing detergent (must be Joy...pour some into the can) and we added some water

blow until the bubbles start to flow...

blow...don't drink (this part is pretty important)

or else you will have to spit...

and they are so sticky! 

i think he had bubbles on his lip.

yesterday at the bookstore

we read forever! 

and thankfully he hadn't lost those cells in his brain that allow him to read.   ahem...he is the smartest, ya know?  those 30 minute episodes of phineas and ferb are not harming him too badly!    we read several star wars chapter books and he was excited to be able to read about star wars on his own...which lead to coming home and dragging every star wars lego and action figure out into the living room for everyone's entertainment!  

nice. 

i've been working on some new stuff...jewelry stuff!  i couldn't go to sleep last night with everything in my head and all the new ideas!  i have to keep telling myself that i can't do it all at once...but that's so hard! 

today...more swimming.

gettin out of the house...

i will admit with gas prices the way they are i've tried my best to stay at home more...and for those of you that really know me, that is very difficult.  i don't have a problem making my way to target or wherever for no reason...

but sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

we're headed to the bookstore (and target...because it's right by the bookstore) and who knows where else!   i can usually stay home for a good three days but then i've got to get out! 

of course, swimming lessons are right after lunch...hopefully if it doesn't rain. 

so that's today.

busy sunday...

went to church this morning...

that's 2 weeks in a row after a very long hiatus and i'm so glad we didn't miss it this sunday.   it was JUST GOOD.  guest speaker and all.

we have the awesome priviledge of worshiping with casting crowns (please google, they are good and i still can't figure out how to link...) they are there almost every sunday leading the music unless on tour. 

after church, we grabbed a bite to eat, hit walmart and then the grocery store.  and after all of that dinner was "what you could make yourself" and i washed folded and put away atleast 4 loads of clothes. 

phew.

round two of swimming lessons begins tomorrow. 

jewelry "home show" tomorrow night...ahem, remember you can have one via the internet!!  ask me how!!

oh, and we saw wall-e (again, google here) on friday...really cute, not alot of words, they are robot you know?  and quite the little eco-friendly movie.
