got up this morning...really late. i have got to get to bed on time or come tuesday, it will be really sad when the alarm clock goes off!
we had plans to eat at Fellini's Pizza today! jeff has been wanting to take us there for some time now and today was the day! nothing special, just something different and the pizza was really really good...we added fresh basil and i highly recommend it!
i also hit a local scrapbook store ...jeff is really good like that! heather and i have been once before and it was really good and since i'm on a roll and have my mojo back, i looked them up! they moved into an old house just down the street and evidently haven't been there very long...they were still getting things in order and i'm sure inventory was low due to Christmas but i still managed to get a few things! they had some naked mini books that i've been wanting for awhile and i grabbed some patterned paper too! i'm going to give the mini books a go this year, thought they would be good since i take so many photos of one thing...why not make them into a book! have plans to display them somehow in a basket all pretty and such, so we can actually enjoy them! jackson found a couple of mini books i made while on a design team several years ago..."10 things i love about you" and a "about us"...he loved reading them, thought they were silly of course
but that's why we scrapbook, right?
after the scrap store we headed to Lenox to browse! i can always do that and believe me, it runs in the family! i did buy a nice BIG ceramic popcorn bowl at crate & barrel for our up and coming family movie nights (saw this at another heather blog and LOVED LOVED LOVED the idea. i mean, we've had "movie nights" before but not SPECIAL movie nights. basically she plans which movie to watch and makes special treats that go along with the movie! sounds like fun to me! be sure to take a look, she has some awesome ideas!
now, did someone mention plaid?
if you've read my blog for any length of time then you know that I LOVE all things PLAID. i also have a good friend who loves plaid just the same, in fact we don't have any sense whatsoever when it comes to the stuff!
she is the hardest to buy for, so Christmas is always a challenge! but this year...i saw these and flipped out!
well of course, we had to have them.
and if you'll notice i said "we"...did you think i would let those get my me?
so here she is opening up her "plaid" (she also got these really great plaid pajama's from Ralph Lauren that were to die for)
and i'll give you one guess as to what i got?
the top plaid is a "lunch bag" and the bottom plaid is a purse from the Gap!
so that's the latest plaid story. we actually have something in mind for Christmas ornaments, so you'll probably be exposed to more of this in the near future!
no time like the present, huh?
remember....my word for 2009 is Balance.
thank goodness!
