over the past several months, jackson has been FULL FORCE when it comes to tennis! 

he even sits and watches the french open and tivo's wimbledon??

this summer i've put him in lessons..."skills and drills"...private lessons and tournaments once a week...an not to mention the number of times we go and hit on our own.   his coaches are absolutely perfect, a ton of fun and i have seen him grow by leaps and bounds!

 

mrs. kim has been working with him on his serve (which is not the easiest thing to do) and last night at his match, it was a huge difference!  it was a close one and in the end he lost 8 to 6 but he always takes it very well...and for jackson, that is BIG...i mean who doesn't want to win, right? 

this morning we're off to tennis once again!

SUMMER is here and in full force!

as you can see, my attempt at bloggin has been less than stellar however your faithfulness at popping in and checking on me has not gone un-noticed...thank you, thank you, thank you! 

but sometimes this bloggin thing just takes a backseat...

 

my camera is still running...I am still running...tennis, including tournaments and private lessons is in FULL SWING!! and a
kiddie pool has once again been purchased for the cheap at-home entertainment and 'coolness' that it always brings! 

in hopes to resume our almost regular scheduled blogging...my goal for you this summer is to keep you updated!

the end of camp

tennis camp ended on friday with a bang!

 

i'm still getting familiar with this 20lb zoom

despite the never ending heat and humidity everyone had a blast!  there was music playing, the kids hit for prizes and then we served up some well deserved ice cream!

 

a little cha cha slide action during the breaks...

 

the coaches showed their stuff at the end and jackson couldn't believe how good they played!

they were awesome! 

for now...i have purchased a racquet...we need more tennis balls...and he thinks he can beat me

we'll just see about that! 
 

 

his 'thing'

soccer...not so much

archery...said "it was boring"

football...never interested

baseball...not really interested

tennis...now THIS may be his 'thing'...camp ends on friday and he wants more!

 

now for the most part, i can say that jackson has fun no matter where he's at or what he's doing...

he IS an only child, remember

but as for tennis...HE LOVES IT! 

 

just look at that smilin' face!  minus the eyes that are closed...

and i gotta brag a bit...he's pretty good so far!

but his favorite part of camp is playing "jail"...

though, no need to worry.
